Help to end the violence

  • ​​Individual and Group Supportive Counseling to victims/survivors of domestic/intimate partner violence in our community, based on the empowerment philosophy and trauma informed approach.

  • Life skills information and education on specific topics such as financial planning, budgeting, parenting, childhood development, nutrition and meal planning as the need arises with victims/survivors.

  • Advocacy for clients and their dependent children, while linking them to community systems of services; i.e. Personal Protection Order preparation, legal assistance in the areas of divorce, child custody, landlord/tenant, etc.

  • Job Readiness services:  Career development, interview preparation, resume development, application completion instruction (hard copy and online), and job search techniques.  Developing/fine tuning technical skills, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, QuickBooks and other software programs to enhance employable skills.  Acquiring proper attire for employment interviewing.

  • Connecting family to healthcare services, i.e. prescriptions, physical, dental, eye and ear exams, in addition to mental health evaluations by licensed professionals, along with counseling.  Aiding in obtaining affordable health insurance.

  • Transitional housing and relocationrapid response moving services and assistance in finding safe affordable housing.

  • Survivor Presentation; personal testimony of a survivor's journey to rebuilding a secure and victorious life.
